Delete Your StewReads Account or Data

StewReads lets signed-in users delete saved data without deleting their account, or permanently delete their full account and associated StewReads data.

How to Delete Data Without Deleting Your Account

You can delete saved StewReads content while keeping your account active:

  1. Sign in to StewReads using the same Google or Apple account used in the app.
  2. Open your Library from the StewReads sidebar.
  3. Delete saved reads or coding contexts you no longer want stored.
  4. To stop future generated ebooks from being saved, open Profile Preferences and turn off Save generated ebooks to your library.
  5. To remove optional profile data, clear saved delivery email, Kindle email, or interests in Profile Preferences and save changes.

How to Request Account Deletion

  1. Sign in to StewReads using the same Google or Apple account used in the app.
  2. Open Profile.
  3. Go to Personal Info and find the Delete Account section.
  4. Choose Delete Account, type DELETE exactly, then confirm permanent deletion.

The web deletion flow is available at stewreads.com/profile after signing in.

Data Deleted

When you delete individual saved items, StewReads deletes the selected content and its associated StewReads storage files. When you confirm full account deletion, StewReads permanently deletes your account and StewReads-owned data, including:

  • Account profile information received from your sign-in provider, including email, name, and profile image URL
  • Saved preferences, including delivery email, Kindle email, interests, auto-send settings, and private podcast feed token
  • Saved ebooks, coding contexts, generated source files, metadata, audiobook files, and other StewReads storage artifacts
  • Authentication sessions, OAuth identities, OAuth tokens, and Google Drive backup connection metadata stored by StewReads
  • Generation jobs, delivery attempts, backup run metadata, and feedback associated with your account

Data Kept or Outside StewReads Control

Some copies are not deleted because they are already outside StewReads storage or are controlled by you:

  • Ebooks already delivered to Kindle, email inboxes, e-reader apps, or downloaded devices
  • Files already backed up to your own Google Drive account
  • Copies retained by third-party services under their own privacy policies
  • Minimal service logs or security records that may be retained briefly for abuse prevention, fraud prevention, debugging, and legal compliance

Retention Period

StewReads account records, saved content, sessions, and storage artifacts are deleted when the account deletion request completes. Temporary logs and security records may remain for a limited period when needed for service reliability, abuse prevention, or legal obligations, then are removed or aged out under normal retention practices.
